Our Trips to Multnomah Falls

The picturesque Multnomah falls.  I remember at the beginning of Instagram scrolling through some feeds and I came across this picture of this waterfall and I thought – wow that almost does not seem real.  I did not think I would ever be standing in front of it. I imagined it buried deep in the woods somewhere but in reality it is just the opposite.  It is located right off the Columbia River Highway – couldn’t have been any easier to park and walk right up to.  The ease of access actually took a little bit of the magic away of these falls.  I mean I did not even have to hike to see it.  But….it is still so beautiful to look at in pictures.  For those that are curious, it is more than 600 feet tall.  Impressive but nothing compared to the overall height of Yosemite Falls which drops a total of 2,425 feet!

When we visited we were not permitted to walk up and across the bridge due to the Eagle Creek Fire occurring 10 months earlier in September of 2017.  I would have enjoyed seeing the falls from other angles – maybe another day.
