We crossed the Seine river and took a look at Notre Dame. So sad that the fire occurred and did such extensive damage to the roof. There is major construction occurring on it still and a high construction wall surrounds it. People still gathered in the plaza out front. I guess I will have to return some day to tour it when it has been fully restored.

The view below from up high of the side of Notre-Dame is from the Pantheon rotunda.  It gives you a good sense of the missing roof.
