Oregon really has some diverse geography!  Looking at these pictures you may think you are somewhere in Utah or the Southwest but nope, this is Oregon. Just outside where we stayed in Bend, Oregon you will find this state park.  It was quite a contrast to the lush green forests and waterfalls we had been exploring around Portland and the Pacific Coast areas.  We spent maybe an hour or two hiking around the area.  Some simple trails that were fun just to take in the scenery.  Little did I know at the time that this would end up being dwarfed by the canyons I would see the following year in Zion National Park.  If you are in the Bend area, I think this is definitely worth a stop.
